Brown & Brown, P.C.
is happy to work with you to draft some of your most important
documents- a will, health care proxy and power of attorney. Each of
these can protect and assist you when the time comes.
We work closely with our clients to develop an estate plan most suited
to the client and his or her beneficiaries.
Brown & Brown, P.C. offers
personal attention to the family during the difficult period after
death. We handle such proceedings as probating the will, appointment of
executors or administrators and approval of probate accounts. We assume
responsibility for the process of settling an estate, collection and
appraisal of estate assets, payment of debts and expenses, preparation
and filing of estate and income tax returns, post mortem tax planning
and distribution of assets to the beneficiaries.
We often act as trustees or co-trustees of trusts created by our
clients, giving personal attention to their investments and keeping in
mind their goals and objectives in establishing the trust. In our role
as trustee, we hold and manage property and make distributions for the
benefit of family members or other beneficiaries according to the terms
of the trust.
Our attorneys hold frequent
estate planning seminars designed to provide a basic understanding of
wills and trusts, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of jointly
held property, beneficiary designation on bank and brokerage accounts,
insurance policies and IRA/401K accounts. We also discuss taxation
strategy, such as the use of partnership discounts, real estate trusts,
living trusts, gifts, and charitable trusts. Seminars are
interactive and do not require you to become a client. Call for more information and the date of our next
seminar.
