Massachusetts state lawmakers gave final approval to
the Permit Extension Act of 2010 on Saturday, July 31st , as part of an
Economic Development Reorganization package (Senate Bill No. 2582). This
new law is a landmark achievement for the Home Builders Association of
Massachusetts and a benefit to all developers and individuals who obtained
local or state permits (with some exceptions) between August 15, 2008 and
August 15, 2010. The Act, signed by Governor Patrick, extends all permits
in effect or existence during the stated tolling period for a period of two
years beyond the approval expiration date. READ
